As President Donna Hooker Global Consulting, Donna (MBA, Athabasca U) enjoys consulting on educational partnerships and projects that create tangible opportunity or growth for students, institutions or industry seeking to fill critical skills shortages.   She is also passionate about teaching part time at BCIT (BC) and at FHWien (Austria), especially Business, Marketing and Strategic Workplace Management courses. 

 

Donna was awarded the 2022 BCCIE Lifetime Achievement award after a full international education career that began at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (1985-2002); Vancouver Community College (2002-2009), Capilano University (2009-2017) and M Square Media (2017- 2022) and who continues to be a key client.  During her career, Donna’s responsibilities spanned the breadth of enrollment management (leads to alumni) including marketing and recruitment.

 

Donna is strategic, innovative, and creative and her career quickly advanced to management and senior leadership roles as Director International Education (VCC/CapU), Interim Dean Business (VCC) and President at MSM Higher Ed.  Donna enjoys collaborating with colleagues and takes great pride in her work with the MSM and GlowEd board.  Over her career, Donna has had amazing mentors and strives to “pay it forward” with peers and especially the next generation of international educators.
